Print design involves creating designs for paper and printing: using CMYK colour profiles, bleed allowances and preparing data for printing.

Screen design refers to digital formats such as social media graphics, banners and newsletters. Here, it’s all about RGB and pixels rather than millimetres. Depending on the medium, I provide the correct format, either print-ready or pixel-perfect.

Yes. Whether it’s an outdated layout, new colours following a rebrand, or simply a fresh new look: I can revamp existing printed materials and adapt them to your current brand identity. Ideally, I’ll need the original file (InDesign, Illustrator or similar). If only a PDF is available, a revision is also possible, depending on the amount of work involved. If only screenshots or scans are available, the file will need to be recreated from scratch, but this is also feasible.

Usually in four steps: First, a brief discussion to clarify what the printed material is intended to achieve, who the target audience is, and what format and print run are required. Then an initial draft, which you can comment on. After a round of revisions, the final artwork is produced with print-ready files. If you wish, I can also coordinate the handover to the printers. For straightforward projects, it often takes just a few days from the briefing to the finished print file.

If you already have a finished template, for example from InDesign or Illustrator, I will check it and, if necessary, prepare it for printing. If you only have a PDF or an image, I will take care of the entire final artwork. The glossary explains exactly what final artwork is.

Yes. I supply all print materials with the correct bleed, embedded fonts, CMYK colour profiles and in the formats required by your printer. PDF/X-4 is standard; other formats are available on request.

I work with any printer. You are free to use your preferred printer. However, if you wish, I can recommend reliable partners from my network.

Yes. From labels to folding cartons, I design packaging that stands out on the shelf and fits in with your existing corporate identity. I’ll provide the print file in a technically flawless format: complete with die-cut template, bleed and the colour profiles required by your packaging printer.
