Task description
mfm – Menschen für Medien is a communications and strategy consulting firm with a focus on social and political issues. The research project “zirkulierbar” required a standalone website—conceptually distinct from the main site, but closely aligned with mfm’s expertise in terms of content. The goal was a streamlined, fast-loading website that would make the project’s content accessible and allow the team to populate and maintain it themselves throughout the project’s active phase.
Implementation
The website was built using a lightweight WordPress theme—deliberately without the overhead of a page builder—to ensure maximum loading speed. The entire site was built using the Gutenberg editor, which allowed the mfm team to easily maintain content directly throughout the project. In parallel with the technical implementation, a basic on-page SEO structure was established: a clean URL structure, optimized metadata, and a clear page hierarchy. The project team handled all content creation and ongoing maintenance entirely on its own—from the very beginning.
Result
A high-performance, low-maintenance project website that showcases the research initiative to the outside world while giving the team maximum editorial independence. The combination of a streamlined theme, the Gutenberg editor, and a solid SEO foundation ensures that content is quickly accessible and discoverable by search engines.
