Task description

The nonprofit organization “Zukunft für Menschen in Südindien e.V.” supports people living in poverty in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu—on a volunteer basis, transparently, and without administrative costs. The previous website ran on a CMS that the volunteer members of the organization found nearly impossible to operate on their own. The request was to rebuild the site using WordPress—with a clear structure and the explicit goal of enabling the organization to fully maintain the website on its own once the project was completed.

Implementation

The website was completely rebuilt using WordPress and clearly structured according to the association’s core areas: sponsorships (children, seniors, education), ongoing projects (house construction, schools, medical aid, organizations for the blind), association information, and a download section for documents and forms. Donations are processed without any plugin overhead via a clearly displayed bank account—streamlined, transparent, and maintenance-free. After the project was completed, the association received training on the WordPress content management system and has been managing all content independently ever since.

Result

A clear, trustworthy website that showcases the organization’s work to the public—and clearly shows prospective supporters how and where they can help. The organization can keep content such as news and project reports up to date on its own.
