Task description
querwärts ARCHITEKTEN is an experienced Nuremberg-based architecture firm that has been realizing sophisticated construction projects for over 15 years—ranging from large-scale residential developments to commercial properties and public facilities. The existing website no longer reflected the firm’s professional image. The client requested a complete redesign that would consistently translate the firm’s architectural style into its digital presence.
Implementation
The design theme was clearly defined: black and white as a stylistic device that reflects the simplicity and precision of good architecture. The concept and visual language were developed in close collaboration with photographer ANDY BRUNNER—the professional photographs of the projects and the team form the visual foundation of the website. Technically, two custom post types were created: one for the project portfolio with individual project pages, and one for the team. This allows the firm to add new projects and team members independently and in a structured manner. Everything was implemented using WordPress and the native Gutenberg editor.
Result
A minimalist, stylish website that conveys the office’s character at a glance—and remains easy to maintain over the long term thanks to its structured portfolio management.
