Task description

KURZ Digital Solutions is a software company based in Fürth and part of the Leonhard Kurz Group, which has been in business for over 100 years. The existing website was custom-built—technically sound, but virtually impossible for the team to maintain on their own in their day-to-day work. The goal was to migrate to WordPress: with a clean technical foundation, a deliberate focus on page speed, and the ability to flexibly incorporate their own design ideas in the future. The project was implemented in collaboration with the SEO agency Adojo GmbH.

Implementation

The existing design was migrated to WordPress with 99% fidelity to the original—without any visual disruption, but with a completely new technical foundation. We deliberately avoided heavy page builders like Elementor or Divi; instead, a streamlined Gutenberg-based system was created with well-thought-out templates for all recurring page types. Page speed was not an afterthought from the start, but rather an integral part of the technical decisions. After the project was completed, the team was trained and is now able to independently further develop both content and design in the future.

Result

A high-performance WordPress website that visually ties in seamlessly with the previous site—but is significantly leaner and faster on the inside, and can be maintained by the team even without any development knowledge.
