Two modes, one block
Whether it’s a traditional FAQ with structured data for search engines and AI discoverability, or a simple, drop-down information section: both are handled by the same block, which can be toggled with a single click.
Accordion Mode
For general content such as services, step-by-step guides or product details. No structured data required – simply presented as a drop-down list. Just like the FAQs, it can be customised entirely as you wish in terms of colour, spacing and size.

FAQ Mode
Automatically generates valid Schema.org FAQPage JSON-LD. This provides Google and other search engines with clean, structured data about your content and makes it easier for AI systems such as ChatGPT or Gemini to recognise content and incorporate it into their responses.

Everything can be customised – directly in the editor
- Lightweight & fast
Optimized for page speed: no external libraries. All files are minified and are loaded only when the block appears on the page. - Colours & Gradients
Solid or two-colour gradients for questions and answers, including custom hover colours. - Theme colour palette
Automatically uses the colour palette of your active theme, as with the core WordPress blocks. - Three icons to choose from
Plus/minus, chevron or arrow. Can be positioned freely on the left or right, with a custom spacing from the text. - Borders & Spacing
Border colour, width and radius, as well as customisable internal spacing for questions and answers. - Animations
The duration for opening and closing the accordions can be set from 0 to 2 seconds - Auto-Close can be disabled
By default, when an item is opened, the previous one closes automatically; this can be adjusted manually.

German and English are included as standard, with WPML compatibility for all other languages. - First item open by default
You can configure the first item of an FAQ or accordion to open immediately upon loading. - Direct link to a question
Assign an HTML anchor under “Advanced” in the editor and copy the automatically generated link. When opened, the link takes users directly to the corresponding question and scrolls it into view. - Custom HTML Element
The question can be set as either a div or h2–h6, allowing it to fit your heading structure. An optional custom font size is also available. For accessibility, the W3C recommends using an h2–h6 heading. - Any block in the response
Without exception, all blocks are permitted in the response: including those from other plugins or page builders.

Why did I build this plugin?
I’m Martin Engelhardt, a freelance web and graphic designer based in Nuremberg, Germany, since 2001. For many of my client projects, I needed a customizable, Gutenberg-compatible FAQ and/or accordion block that uses Schema.org for FAQs while being fast and accessible. Since I couldn’t find a solution that met these requirements, I built my own – and continue to improve and expand the plugin.
