A sitemap is a structured overview of all the pages on a website—either as an XML file for search engines or as an HTML page for visitors. The XML sitemap helps Google find and index all pages on a website. It is submitted to Google Search Console and should always be up to date. WordPress automatically generates the sitemap—using Yoast SEO or other plugins. The URL is usually: domainname.de/sitemap.xml.
