The header is the top section of a website—the header area—visible on every page. It typically contains the logo, the navigation menu, and often a direct way to contact the site, such as a phone number or a button. The header is the first thing a visitor sees and plays a key role in shaping their first impression. A good header is clearly structured; on a smartphone, it usually collapses into what’s known as a hamburger menu—the three horizontal lines that open a drop-down menu.
