CMS – Content Management System

« Back to Glossary Index

A CMS is software that allows you to manage a website’s content without any programming knowledge. Editing text, uploading images, creating new pages—all of this is done through a graphical interface in your browser. The most well-known CMS is WordPress, which powers about 43% of all websites worldwide. Alternatives include Typo3, Joomla, and Contao. Choosing the right CMS depends on the website’s size, budget, and planned features.
